  • Pilgrimage to Cathedral Holy Door

    Saturday Jul 2, 2016 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM

    8:00am: Depart from St. Patrick Church via charter bus
    9:00am: Arrival at the Cathedral for private prayer and confessions (if desired)
    10:00am: Group prayer and crossing through the Holy Door
    10:15am: Tour of the Cathedral
    11:00am: Depature from the Cathedral, followed by lunch in Springfield. We'll return to St. Patrick Church in the early afternoon.

    Cost -- $15 per person, which includes bus transportation and lunch. Bus seats are on a first-come, first-served basis, so make your reservation soon!

Beckwith is Professor of Philosophy & Church-State Studies at Baylor University, where he also serves as Associate Director of the Graduate Program in Philosophy and CoDirector of the Program on Philosophical Studies of Religion.     Volunteers from our parish are needed to deliver a noontime hot meal to the elderly homebound of the community. Meals are picked up at Decatur Memorial Hospital along with a detailed route description, which takes about an hour to complete. This is a very valued ministry of Catholic Charities that truly makes a difference in the lives of their clients. They desperately need this service, and they depend on local churches for volunteers. Please call Patty Anderson at 429-1135 to volunteer for one or more days. Thank you!

  • Grocery Grab - Final Day to Buy Tickets

    The St Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary is raffling a chance to win hundreds of dollars in groceries at the County Market on Grand Street. Tickets are
    $5 each or 3 for $10. They can be purchased in the Gift Shop at St. Mary’s or the Customer Service Desk at County Market until July 28th.
    The drawing will take place on July 29th at County Market, with the Grocery Grab on August 8th. Proceeds from the event will go toward purchasing adult and child manikins for the Hospital Education Department. Winner has the right to name an alternate shopper.
