• Meals on Wheels

  Volunteers are needed from our parish each day to deliver a hot noon meal to the elderly homebound of the community. Meals are picked up at DMH along with a detailed description of the route, which takes 1 hour or less to complete. This is a very valued ministry of Catholic Charities that really makes a difference in the lives of their clients. They desperately need this service, and they depend on local churches for volunteers. Please call Patty Anderson at 429-1135 to volunteer one or more days. Thank you!

  Ladies, would like to spend an evening with old friends and new in a lovely candlelit atmosphere, with fine china and elegant desserts? Do you have a new dessert or appetizer recipe you’d like to try? Or an old favorite you’d like to share? Do you enjoy decorating for the holidays? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, you’ll be interested in this year’s event that is planned for women of all ages. • Dealing with Grief Session

  Those who have experienced the loss of a loved one often find healing and support through sharing with others with similar experiences. • Share Holiday Memorial Service

  Tuesday Dec 6, 2016 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

  Please join us in St. Mary’s Hospital Chapel. The Share service remembers and honors babies who have died during pregnancy, at birth, or in early infancy. Families are welcome to bring an ornament to place on the tree in memory of their child. For more information call (217) 464-2045.

• Gift Return Deadline

  Deadline for Angel Tree and Adopt a Friend gift return. Please help those who may not have a Christmas without us. Pick a tag from a tree at either church for a child or special needs adult. Shop, wrap and return the gifts by December 14, 2016. You may return the gifts to either church, the parish house or rectory. If you have any questions, please call the parish office.

  We will decorate both churches for Christmas. Contact the parish office for times and to volunteer. Remember that all volunteers 18 and older must have to take Protecting God’s Children and a background check. Thanks!
