19 Tour of Churches
Please join The History of Heartland for a free guided tour of several churches and learn the stories of the stained-glass windows in each church. The event takes place during the Historic Preservation week. The event is Sunday, May 19 from 2-4pm at St. James Church (742 E Clay St) and St. Patrick Church (407 E Eldorado St). Those who have experienced the loss of a loved one often find healing and support through sharing with others who have similar experiences. Our parish is hosting a grief session on Tuesday, May 21 at 5:30pm in the parish house at St. James. Anyone is welcome to attend. We are making a few changes in the way altar servers minister at the Mass and would like all current servers who do not attend St. Patrick School to come to a training session on Saturday, May 25 @ 10am. If you have made your 1st Communion but have never served and would like to learn, we invite you to join us for this training with the experienced servers to begin the process of participating in this wonderful ministry of the Church. Please join us on Monday, May 27 for Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Decatur at 10:30am. You are welcome to bring a chair to use during Mass. Parking will be south of the cemetery at Millikin. A shuttle will be available for transportation to and from the cemetery. Please join us. | 28 Finance Council meeting
